‘Tis the Season for our annual partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository. And this year, besides our transportation partnership, we are excited to announce that two of our self-storage facilities have been designated as official food drive donation locations!
You can now drop off your canned and/or dry goods at either our Hyde Park location (5155 South Cottage Grove Ave) or at our 83rd & Halsted location (8316 S. Birkhoff Ave) now through February 2015. Both facilities have Greater Chicago Food Depository donation boxes for you to take home (free of charge!), fill with items from the list below and return back to your self-storage facility of choice. Once filled, the donated items will be brought to the Greater Chicago Food Depository by our staff where they will be distributed throughout Cook County.
The Greater Chicago Food Depository lists the items most needed as:
• Beans
• Canned Fruit
• Canned Vegetables
• Cereal
• Chili
• Jelly
• Macaroni and Cheese
• Pasta
• Pasta Sauce
• Peanut Butter
• Rice
• Shelf-Stable Milk
