With the number of street and neighborhood festivals multiplying exponentially, you’ve got to think of some really interesting niches to stand out. Alas, we have found one that strikes our fancy and definitely is different: Chicago Hot Dog Fest!

This weekend the Chicago History Museum in Lincoln Park will host Chicago Hot Dog Fest. With free admission, a yummy list of participating restaurants and a robust line-up of cover bands – it’s sure to be a fun excursion. Stop by the fest and enjoy hot dog samples from Wishbone, Rabidito Columbian Gourmet Bites and Yoburri Gourmet and more. If you like top hot dogs, good music and sunshine – add this to your calendar! Plan ahead and buy your food and drink tickets now!

Added bonus: if you have time, take a stroll down the street and visit the Lincoln Park Conservatory and the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum for Wednesday’s post!
