Move for Hunger Reminder and Link to Vote for Our Favorite Charity

Published by Webmaster

Aaron Bros. Moving System, Inc. is still proudly partnered with “Move for Hunger!”

“Move for Hunger” is a charity dedicated to ending American hunger and supplying non-perishable items to food banks across the United States. To date, “Move for Hunger,” has collected 2 million pounds of food. That is incredible!

When it was time for us as professional Chicago movers to contribute to the city we love and move, we decided to support this charity. “Move for Hunger” was created by a family owned moving company out of New Jersey and the idea behind it was so profoundly simply yet effective.

You may see “I would like to participate in ‘Move for Hunger’ and donate non-perishable goods” as an option on our free estimate form and be unsure of what this commits you to. And who has time to donate and organize for charity when you’re in the process of moving??? You do! All “Move for Hunger” and Aaron Bros. Moving System, Inc. asks you to do is put aside the non-perishable food items you will not be transporting with you during the move. We all have these items; forgotten cans of soup, vegetables, fruit, pasta, etc in the depths of our pantry. Instead of throwing these items away, set them aside and notify Aaron Bros. at the time of your move that you have a donation for “Move for Hunger.” We will take it from there!

Our movers will box the donated food up and bring it back to our headquarters where, once a month, we make a deposit to the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The non-perishable items are then weighed and reported back to “Move for Hunger” so they can track the outreach of the charity. The food is then distributed by the Greater Chicago Food Depository to over 650 food pantries around Chicago. They provide 135,000 meals a day to our neighbors, friends, and family who need it the most.

To show our support for “Move for Hunger,” Aaron Bros. Moving System, Inc. would like to provide the link to their website. “Move for Hunger” is one of three charities vying for a free charity give away. You can help them win a animated video highlighting all the good they have done throughout America by voting for their charity.
