Hyde Park Neighborhood Feature

Neighborhood Feature: Hyde Park Jazz Festival

This weekend, Hyde Park is hosting one of our favorite festivals: the Hyde Park Jazz Festival.  In its 8th year, the festival offers free (yes, free) jazz performances from well-known artists in venues throughout Hyde Park.  The festival boasts a strong line-up with a selection of 30 artists performing on Saturday alone!

Catch the Maggie Brown Group at the Hyde Park Union Church or the Ari Brown Quintet at the Wagner Stage at the Midway.  Listen to the sounds of Etienne Charles & Creole Soul or The Fat Babies – all on Saturday!  There’s something for every type of jazz fan along with food, drink and additional vendors.

We recommend you take advantage of the stunning weather this weekend and listen to some great jazz and enjoy one of the last festivals of the season.  For more information, visit the Hyde Park Jazz Festival official website. Make sure to also check out the full line-up of all the Hyde Park locations that are hosting bands on both Saturday and Sunday to take full advantage of this fun event.

(Note: A $5 donation is requested, but not required, to keep this local festival going next year!)
