A “Thank You” From GCFD!

Published by Webmaster

Aaron Bros. would like to share an email we received from the Greater Chicago Food Depository in response to their 2014 Holiday Food Drive. Your donations at our Hyde Park and at our 83rd & Halsted Self-Storage locations contributed to the success of this event. Here is just how much of an impact food drives have on our community:

“The 2014 “1 City, 1 Food Drive” Holiday Campaign was an incredible success.  Together, during November – December we were able to collect 500,000 pounds and raise over $300,000 through food drives.  This will result in over 1.3 million meals provided to children, veterans and families all across Cook County! Truly an amazing accomplishment and we could not have done it without each and everyone one of you.

As you know hunger is a year-round issue and we would love to grow our partnership against fighting hunger.  There are many ways to contribute and be a part of the mission whether it is virtual/physical food drives, offering prizes/incentives for our events, donating resources, volunteering and so forth.  Please feel free to reach out to me and we would love to have you in for lunch & tour to build on our partnership.  We will be targeting April for our Spring Food Drive Campaign in preparation for our summer kids programs.”

Thank you so much to our neighbors, family, and customers for making an impact! Now lets keep it going!!!
