U Haul Rentals Through Aaron Bros. Moving System, Inc.

Published by Derrick Spencer

Not only is Aaron Bros. Moving System, Inc. your go to professional movers and self-storage providers, we are also authorized U Haul dealers at 3 of our local self-storage facilities. U Haul is a great option for smaller moves that do not require the precision or man power of our 2 or 3 men crew. Our current locations that also double as U Haul authorized dealers are conveniently located around the South Side of Chicago at Hyde Park Self-Storage, South Shore Self-Storage, and 83rd & Halsted Self-Storage. We would like to take a moment to briefly describe the way U Haul rentals work.

Reserve

Firstly, we highly recommend making a reservation for your U Haul especially if you are looking to utilize a truck at the end or beginning of the month. For a reservation we require a valid credit card with at least $100 of funds available. You can always rent a U Haul without a credit card by leaving a $200 deposit. No money will be deducted from your account at this time. You can make a reservation for a U Haul by going online, calling into the location of your choice, or coming in in person.

Equipment Pickup

You will need a valid driver’s licenses at the time of your scheduled rental pickup. You will also be asked to provide a credit card if you opt to use that rather than cash. Our U Haul customer representative will then proceed to record your license number, go over equipment rental charges, environment fees and taxes, and the option for insurance. Insurance can be purchased at an additional rate that is non-refundable. If you opt not to purchase insurance you will be asked to sign an agreement that you will be responsible for any and all damage to the U Haul upon inspection during your return. You will also be asked where you are moving to and the estimated miles you will be driving. We will then calculate an estimated charge for your rental which will include: equipment charges, insurance (if applicable), estimated miles, environmental fees, and taxes. If using a credit card, the credit card will be swiped, however; you will not be charged until you return the U Haul and your actual mileage is recorded. If leaving cash, the $200 will remain on site until the rental is returned.

You will be asked and given a return time for your U Haul rental. You can rent the U Haul for as long as you need it but please be advised that each day of a rental is an additional equipment rental charge. Please return the truck on time since they are scheduled out accordingly.

The gas level for the U Haul will be measured at the time of your rental. Make sure to return the gas to that exact level to avoid any addition fees.

Equipment Return

At the time of the U Haul return, one of our customer representatives will “check” the truck in meaning they will record the new mileage, gas level, and note any damage. You will then be given a final bill with exact mileage tracked. This bill will include rental charge(s), accurate mileage charge, nonrefundable insurance (if applicable), environment fee and taxes. At this time, the credit card on file will be authorized with a final amount. If you left a cash deposit you will either be given the difference back or owe more depending on mileage and rental charge(s).

As always, Aaron Bros. Moving System, Inc is in the business of moving Chicago and easing the stress of relocation. The additional option of renting U Hauls through either of our 3 self-storage facilities helps you when it is time to move items, whether big or small.
