Who moves Chicago?
We Move Chicago! And for over forty years too! (Thank you Chicago!)
I am moving in from out-of-state. Can you help me unload my truck when I arrive?
Absolutely! We can help with loading/unloading trucks and pods and with any other heavy objects you may need help with.
Do you move pianos and other large items?
As a matter-of-fact, we do!
Do you move at odd times (holidays, evenings, weekends, and early mornings?)
We are closed for major, calendar holidays, but besides that, happy to do the job for you! We do as many moves that our schedule permits.
Do you provide blankets and shrink-wrap?
Each of our Moving Teams and trucks comes equipped with blankets to wrap your possessions. Bubble wrap is available for purchase along with boxes, tape and other miscellaneous moving essentials.
Do you provide moving supplies, wardrobe boxes, etc.?
Boxes in a variety of sizes, bubble wrap, tape and other miscellaneous items are available upon request at an additional, competitive rate. We offer a free delivery service before your move date of these supplies when you purchase $100 worth or more.
How will you transport my belongings?
Your belongings will be packed carefully and transported in one of our reliable moving trucks.
Is tipping customary, and what is the standard tip?
Although tipping is greatly appreciated by anyone in a service industry, it is not necessary. However, if you feel our movers did as fabulous a job as we believe they do, than a tip would be appropriate and received enthusiastically by your Moving Team.
What if something gets damaged during the move?
Every move we perform is covered by carrier liability. Additional insurance is highly recommended and available upon your request. We try very hard to protect your valuables while in our possession, however; if an item is suspected of being damaged we will do our best to provide a satisfactory result. Contact our office for more information regarding suspected claims.
What geographical area do you service? Do you provide long-distance moves?
Currently we service all of Chicagoland and the surrounding suburbs. There is a difference in travel charge, so be sure to tell your Logistics Guru the exact location. If you are requiring a long-distance move, let us know and we can see what we can do for you!
What size move can you accommodate?
Our box trucks range from 16 to 24 feet and can accommodate anything from a studio apartment to a single–family home. For larger moves or commercial moves please contact us.
What about deposit/cancellation fees?
We currently do not charge ANY deposits, or cancellation fees. (You’re Welcome!)
What are your hours of operation?
Our office is open from 8am to 5pm, six days a week and Sunday, by appointment only. Generally, our email is checked on a regular basis so any non-immediate issues can be directed here
How does your scheduling work?
Each Moving Team does on average, two to three moves per day. The first move of the day is scheduled between 8am or 9am and does not end until the last item on the truck is unloaded to its proper destination. The second and possible third job will then begin; however, although we do our best to estimate a start time, we ask that our afternoon moves have an availability of two hours prior to and after the estimated start time. A logistics team member will be in touch with you throughout the day to keep you updated on estimated arrival times.
Are you licensed, bonded and insured?
As a matter of fact, we are!
What are your rates?
We charge competitive hourly rates that vary on your time of move, destination of move, number of men needed to execute your move, travel time, and other factors. Call in now to see how you can save on your move! 773-268-1700
Do you have an hourly minimum?
Our hourly minimum is only two hours!
What payment methods to you accept?
At this time we accept cash and major credit cards.
Do you provide a receipt?
Yes, we will provide you with a bill of lading, i.e. a detailed list of a shipment of goods in the form of a receipt given by the carrier to the person consigning the goods.
How far in advance do I need to book my move?
The first and end of the month are always the busiest so we recommend booking in advance to make sure we have availability. With that being said, we do try our best to accommodate emergency moves when our schedules permit. If you have a last minute move, please give our office a call.
What if the actual time is longer or shorter than the estimate?
Upon arrival, your Moving Team Leader will do an initial walk-through with you. If it is more than previously discussed, your estimate will be adjusted on the scene. We recommend being forth right in all the valuables, boxes, and furniture you own so initially we can get a clear picture on the amount of time our logistics professionals believe to be appropriate for a successful move. Please keep in mind that outside factors such as traffic, bad weather conditions, etc., cannot be factored into your original estimate.
