Oak Park Neighborhood Feature #2: Oaktoberfest!
The Village of Oak Park celebrates their 23rd annual Oaktoberfest this weekend.
Our Neighborhood Feature of the week welcomes back the Fall season with this free, two day event that offers food from local restaurants, live music, microbrews, and fun activities for children of all ages.
Oaktoberfest runs from Marion Street and North Boulevard, just south of Lake Street in the Village’s downtown area and begins on Friday, September 19, 2014 and continues on Saturday, September 20, 2014. Make sure to check out one (or more!) of the eight live bands scheduled to play and the “zucchini cars” kid races.
Other attractions included hand-crafted microbrews from local breweries (hint: drink vouchers are cash only) and a Root Beer Float Garden for the kiddos.
