Aaron Bros. Walks and Acts “Tough” in Weekend Charity Events

Published by Webmaster

Aaron Bros. Moving System, Inc. had a fun-filled weekend of participating in local charity events.

Saturday–“Walk Now for Autism Speaks”

Saturday was the perfect morning as team “The Walking Warriors” came together and walked in support of Autism awareness and research funding. With your help and generous donations, we are proud to say we raised $3,345! The 10th anniversary “Walk Now for Autism Speaks” began at Soldier Field and lead us on a 3 mile walk along the Lakefront. The event concluded with snacks, music, and activities for the whole family. It was extremely moving for Aaron Bros. to support all the families affected by Autism and to see the joy and love in all individuals who participated. It was a fantastic way to spend a Saturday here in Chicago!

Sunday–“Tough Mudder Chicago”

A little sunburn from Saturday’s event didn’t stop us from participating in Chicago’s 2013 “Tough Mudder” in rural Seneca, Illinois. With our team of two, “We Move Chicago,” we trudged through 11 miles of mud, heat, and sweat and conquered 22 military style obstacles to help raise money for the “Wounded Warrior Project.” (Did we mention how muddy it was?!!) We truly saw the impact of this charity event as we participated alongside a wounded veteran and watched her and her team complete every obstacle with tremendous strength and determination. To date,”Tough Mudder” has helped raise over $5 million towards the “Wounded Warrior Project” and we are proud that we endured the course for the men and women who have served our country. Even though our participation for these events is over for the year, you can still donate to Autism Research and the “Wounded Warrior Project” by clicking on the highlighted links.
