Chicago 2013 Walk Now for Autism Speaks. It’s almost time for Chicago’s 10th Annual Walk Now for Autism Speaks on May 18th, 2013 at Soldier Field. Chicago’s 2013 Walk Now for Autism Speaks.Autism is the fastest-growing, serious developmentally disability in the United States. It affects 1 in 88 children and can cost a family on average, $60,000 a year for therapy, treatment, and research. Even with those alarming statistics, only a budget of $169 million from the National Institute of Health Funds are Allocated to Autism Research out of a $30.86 billion budget. That is only 0.55%! Join Aaron Bros. Moving System, Inc and thousands of other participants who will unite for one day and walk together in an effort to raise money to fund research for this leading childhood illness. Walk Now for Autism Speaks is a 3 mile walk along Chicago’s Lakefront that ends with a Post Event Walk Party and Research Fair. There are NO FEES to sign-up and the whole family can participate! You can either start a team, join a team, or register as an individual and there are fun resources on how to start collecting donations from your family and friends.
